Beschreibung
Sweden is characterised by a welfare state policy understanding. It has a high level of state involvement in the education system, which also includes vocational training. Permeability is guaranteed between different educational pathways, and individual support is practised inclusively. The school-based VET system gives young people access to all sectors without the need for special prerequisites. Through the integration of VET programmes into the upper secondary school, education is also formally linked to access to higher education. The subsequent higher education and adult education is free of charge and flexibly geared to labour market requirements in the vocational qualification sector.
